Kat Sod Assay Compliant
The Kat Sod Assay is Faith Group’s original testing method that directly detects active oxygen species produced by cosmetic ingredients. The method was developed by Hajime Nishioka (1934–2014), professor emeritus at Doshisha University, and passed down to Prof. Tomohiro Matsumoto of the Radiation Biology Center in Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Biostudies. Currently Faith Group conducts the test under the academic guidance of Prof. Matsumoto, and uses only ingredients in products that produce no active oxygen species.
